Today, We are going to teach you how to change windows 7 logon screen without any software. Microsoft is providing the ability to customize the windows 7 logon screen background without hacking any system files. So here’s the trick to change logon screen background manually.
How to Change Windows 7 logon Screen
Go to Start Menu search box, type regedit and hit enter to open up the Registry EditorNow Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background
Once you can see the OEMBackground entry, Double click ‘OEMBackground’ and change its value 0 to 1. If you can’t find this key go ahead and create a new one. Right click and choose DWORD and name it OEMBackground.
Now Go to C:\Windows\System32\oobe ( 'c’ windows 7 Installation Drive)Now create a new folder named info. Again, create a new folder inside the Info folder and rename it as backgrounds.
Note: You may find these folders already exist.
Then copy your favorite image you want to use to this folder and rename it as backgroundDefault.
Note: The image must be in JPG format and the size should be less than 256 KB.
You are done. Reboot your system and see your new login screen.
